Privacy Policy

Account basics: your email or phone number when you sign in, and anything you choose to add to your profile.

Identity documents: if you verify your identity, we ask for both sides of a government ID and a selfie. These are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket called id-documents. It is not public and is not readable by other users, owners, or the general public. Only you can read your own uploaded document, and our trust team can access it through server-side tools when reviewing an application.

To make review faster and more accurate, a secure automated system reads the details printed on your ID (such as the name, date of birth and document type) and shows them to our reviewer alongside your photos. This processing is done through a trusted AI service provider under confidentiality; your documents are used only for this review, never for advertising and never to train AI models. The document number is stored only in masked form, and the decision to verify you is always made by a person, never automatically.

Location and search activity: saved searches, filters, and map interactions, so we can show you relevant listings and remember what you were looking at.

Visit and booking data: the properties you book visits for, the date and time slot you choose, and any reschedule or cancellation you make.

Tenant intent data: you can optionally add your budget, move timeline and household type so owners receive serious, suitable requests.

Contact requests: who you asked to connect with, the optional note you attached, and each request's outcome. Phone numbers and emails are exchanged only after the owner approves, and either side can revoke sharing.

Feedback: if you send us written feedback about a property or owner, that text is private and is only ever read by SpotGhar staff, never shown to the owner or made public. Listings carry no scores or star ratings; they show only whether an owner's identity has been verified.

To run the core product: show you relevant listings, route your contact and visit requests to owners, and show owners whether a seeker is identity-verified and intent-qualified.

To keep the marketplace trustworthy: identity review exists so that people are who they say they are, and feedback stays honest because owners cannot see or pressure people over it.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your identity documents for anything other than confirming who you are.

• Your written feedback: only SpotGhar staff. Owners and other users never see it.
• Your tenant intent: owners see your budget, move timeline and household type alongside your request. Your phone number and email are shared only after they approve a contact request.
• Your saved searches and visit history: only you, used to personalise your own experience.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your data deleted, email us at hello@spotghar.com and we will act on that request as quickly as we can; a member of our team reviews every request directly.

We describe exactly what we do, in plain words, and we hold ourselves to it. This policy is reviewed as the product evolves, and we will flag any material change clearly before it takes effect. Your rights to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted apply at all times through hello@spotghar.com.
